i want to be adored

not when my body is naked

but when my heart is bare & exposed




can the people that we love

ever really know us 

if they don't open up in the way that we do?




my ears have heard too much

my eyes have shed too many tears

to not be heard or seen




surface level conversations mean nothing

when you want to hear everything underneath

but you can't force someone to give you a part of them




that they don't even know themselves.
